At the end of this complete test of more than 1,100 km, the 2009 Kawasaki ZX-6R appeared to us to be undoubtedly well born and homogeneous. Obviously, the Greens have worked well and the Zak ‘no longer suffers from these small defects which have sometimes hampered its commercial success: a certain happy medium seems indeed reached and the bike is as obvious on the road as it is fast on the track. !
There remains an engine a bit too lazy at the bottom and too little expressive in its revving: partly attributable to the clamping, this lack of pep and character does not however manage to spoil the pleasure experienced in enjoying the sharpened cycle part and especially of this devilish front axle of precision and stability !
Kawasaki France intends to sell 900 units this year: an objective that is not unreasonable in view of the price placed for the ZX-6R: despite an increase of 0.90% on May 1, the Supersport Kawasaki is displayed in Indeed at € 11,099, or € 900 less than the 600 CBR (without ABS) and even € 1,000 compared to the R6! Only the Suzuki GSX-R (€ 10,699) and the Triumph Daytona 675 (€ 10,990) manage to screw it up in the price war…
