What Corona does to a Suzuki Burgman
Take: a lot of time, a 1st generation Suzuki Burgman 400 and an old jet ski. The result is a bike that looks like it can ride on land and in water.
W.as Corona does everything … the innocent Suzuki Burgman couldn’t count on that. Sure, Corona is only indirectly responsible for this self-made amphibious vehicle. In fact, it’s Wilfred Herring’s creation. Let’s call it a boat bike. The construction is a cross between a first generation Suzuki Burgman, a large motor scooter with 400 cm³ displacement and around 30 hp, and a jet ski called Sea-Doo Seascoot. Apparently the builder, who lives in Toledo, Ohio, had both standing in the shed – and thanks to the consequences of the corona pandemic, a lot of time for a creative project.
Toledo Seascoot almost 100 km / h fast
So this can come about when men can no longer go to the gym and there are no sporting events that are televised. The Toledo Seascoot is said to be up to 60 miles per hour, i.e. just under 100 km / h. Yes, the part is actually mobile – see video. But only on land. Because the Rotax jet ski drive no longer existed before the merger or it fell victim to the vehicle pairing. Our name is correct as "Amphibious vehicle" consequently not. Which is why we stay with Bootorrad. Or at "Toledo Seascoot ”, as the builder himself called it.
The Toledo Seascoot now has its own Facebook page, it is of course also represented on Instagram and there was also a report on television (see video). What Wilfred Herring enjoys most is that his creation is a topic of conversation – no matter where he takes it, no matter where he appears.
Conclusion
If the part could also drive in the water, that would of course be a blast. But we also advocate any crazy creation that comes about simply because there is just enough time.
