Site analysis : Starting like a cannonball from 11th place on the handlebars of his GSX-RR, Alex Rins then stayed in the second group. Combative, the 22-year-old Spaniard struck back at Crutchlow, Zarco and Pedrosa, before taking advantage of the latter’s fall to pose a serious option for 5th place.

But the n ° 42, twice on the podium this season in then aux, found himself in difficulty in the last laps, betrayed by his tire which accused the backlash of a very aggressive start. Johann Zarco, lurking in his wake in the final loop, did not ask for so much: for only three tenths !

The Catalan is however satisfied with his sixth place, which comes after two races that finished in fourth position. This good momentum allows Alex Rins to appear in 10th place in the provisional, eleven points behind his teammate Andrea Iannone and fifteen ahead of Dani Pedrosa.. 

A flattering performance for this rider who is playing his second season only in MotoGP! Next goal: to get a new podium before the end of the season, and if possible from the next race in Japan in two weeks, on Suzuki land..

End of season under tension between Suzuki teammates !

Although he does not mention it publicly, Alex Rins undoubtedly plans to end the season in front of his Italian teammate, in order to prove to Suzuki that he deserves the status of first driver which will return to him next year alongside the newbie Joan Mir. The fight between Rins and Iannone during the next races will undoubtedly be tough !
