"It’s hard to come back to this situation", he admits, frustrated at being unable to explain his gradual drop in speed after a start on the hats of wheels at Jerez (2nd in FP1, 9th in FP2, 10th in FP3 and 11th in qualifying).

Recall that Jorge Lorenzo had taken a season and a half to win his first victory over the Ducati, during the 2018 Italian GP. The n ° 99, long confused by the reactions of the Desmosedici compared to the Yamaha, had immediately confirmed with a new success in Catalonia, followed by a third in Austria: will it take him as long to acclimatize to a RRS carved out by – and for – Marquez ? 

In the meantime, he is in 14th place in the provisional with only 11 points, just behind the talented Fabio Quartararo (17 points). The HRC official is even under threat from beginners Franco Bagnaia on the Ducati Pramac (9 points) and Joan Mir on the Suzuki (8)…
