I know a slew of kids (and why should they for that matter …) who will be happy with the new version of Aprilia’s RS. With his physique straight out of the RSV-R 1000, there is something to imagine as a young contender for the Superbike. While the fairing pleases the eye, it also contributes greatly to the aerodynamic benefit.
Supreme evolution of braking reserved at the highest level of competition only a few years ago, radial braking is now part of the equipment of the RS 125. Master cylinder piston and 4 piston caliper are now of this type. A large 320 mm track and a new inverted fork 40 mm in diameter take care of the braking.
Some notable modifications of the 2006 model:
- New rims with RSV-R design, lighter by 2.2 kg
- Aviation braided brake hose
- multifunctional digital display incorporating an on-board computer which can be operated directly from the handlebars.
- New silencer
- Weight down 5 kg
- New forged aluminum triple clamp
