Single cylinder enduro for Asia

The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia is launching a larger-displacement version of the single-cylinder Enduro Terra for the Asian market. The first pictures of the Terra 250 have appeared on the internet.

As 125 and 150 is the A.prilia Terra already launched in China. Now an even more potent version of the enduro is to follow. The first pictures published by the Chinese website newmotor.com.cn show that this is already ready for series production.

Visually, the 250 Terra is virtually identical to its smaller siblings. At the front it has a duckbill on the frame-fixed half-shell.

Except for the exhaust pipe, the 250 seems to correspond to the 150.

The exhaust muffler hangs much lower on the 250. The new single-cylinder should be identical to the single from the Aprilia GPR 250 sports machine, which was introduced at the beginning of the year. This would give the small enduro around 26 hp and 22 Nm of torque. The CFMoto 250NK also carries this single cylinder.

The main sales markets for the Aprilia Terra 250 are likely to be China and India. The main opponent is the KTM Duke 250. Rumors have it that a 300 version will follow for India based on the single cylinder from the CFMoto 300NK. The Terra 250 is manufactured in cooperation with Aprilia’s Chinese partner Zongshen in China.
