Producing mainly in small displacement, Aprilia has done quite well with its first big sports car. Its engine, a V twin open at 60 °, is a technological gem. Some regrets, however: the rear shock absorber does not accept small shocks on bumpy roads. As for the brakes, a little more bite on heavy braking would not be too much..

The year 2001 saw the first modifications for Noale’s big sports car. The fork head is fitted with small side deflectors, fairing sides and rear shell are slightly redesigned, the tank loses 2 liters of capacity, the rear shock absorber changes and the top-engine is subtly re-visited. The dry weight drops by 2 kilos.
