- Conclusion
The Rocca of Buse has been in the test since February and has since spent a good 600 kilometers on the skin. The borrowings from leather suits are clearly recognizable and beautifully implemented in the design. The safety stripes on the back, sleeves and chest are discreetly placed. Visually a chic package. With inner lining and membrane, it does its job very well between and 20 degrees. In size 3XL or 58, the fit at 1.87 meters and a strong stature is sporty, tight and comfortable to wear. Things look a little different without an inner lining membrane. The jacket lacks a lot of seating and comfort.

The Buse Rocca at zero degrees and rain
The Rocca is only of limited use as a winter jacket. Nevertheless, the combination lining consisting of a membrane and a light thermal lining effectively insulates even at zero degrees and at high speeds. 60 kilometers in a row doesn’t make much difference in winter. A violent storm in March over a good 20 kilometers of country road does not push the membrane to its limits, only the wet outer material then forms a cold bridge.

The easily removable inner lining is also the climate membrane.
The Buse Rocca at 20 degrees and sun
With a zipped inner lining, the Rocca is in its element and shows its strengths. Changing trips through damp shade and sun put the membrane, lining and the high proportion of black fabric away very well. There is a feel-good atmosphere. The Rocca acknowledges a break in the sun with a rapid build-up of heat. Here the membrane quickly seems to reach its limits. The six ventilation openings on the chest, back and arms help on hot days without food.
In everyday life
When you put it on, the Rocca leaves no question marks, the zips on the inner lining and front are not interchangeable, and the combination with matching trousers is still easy thanks to the large connecting zipper. On the other hand, it is not easy to stow a cell phone or wallet in the jacket: the side pockets are simply too small in terms of volume and insertion opening. Even with small hands, a layer is quickly created here, which is underlined by the fine-toothed zipper with slight bite marks on the cuticles. A normal smartphone with a case can be too big. Without an inner lining, the function of the bags is better. The even sporty, tightly cut glove cuffs are very easy to pull over the sleeves, the velvety hem helps pull the gloves and the width adjustment lives up to its name.

Price performance Buse Rocca
Buse names a price of 249.95 euros for the Rocca, which is available in four color variants in sizes from 46 to 64. The workmanship is good, the fabric overlaps are precise and even. In terms of equipment, there is little to complain about apart from the lack of a back protector. The Buse Rocca is a round package with a lot of jacket at a reasonable price.
5 tops of the Rocca
1. Fit and fit with inner lining
2. Isolation is great even at zero degrees
3. Soft collar and sleeve hems
4. Inner lining fastened with zippers in the sleeves
5. Long, large connecting zip
5 flops of the Rocca
1. Fit too wide without inner lining
2. Without an inner lining, it was scratchy on the arms
3. Pockets too small
4. The zips on the pockets are too fine-toothed
5. Back protector can only be retrofitted

Conclusion
Buse has succeeded in creating a sporty textile jacket with Rocca. Visually and technically, demands and execution go well together. The price of around 250 euros is okay, but the upgrade has to be a back protector.
What is striking is the significant change in fit and comfort when the combination lining made of membrane and lightweight insulation material is removed. The small pockets with narrow openings are also noticeable negatively.
The Rocca works great as a transition jacket in partly wintry temperatures or in storms in spring. Visually sporty, but subtle in its presentation. A well-rounded package.
