“Women make up 20 percent of the Twins buyers,” said a Royal Enfield spokesman. So it is a good thing that the Indian manufacturer is sponsoring four Interceptor 650s for the custom bike competition of the motorcycle festival for women, the Petrolettes 2019. “Wrench-Off” is the name of the project for which four European teams are competing. The Petrolettes Wrench Off is a freestyle customizing competition in which female screwdriving skills are in the foreground in order to further raise awareness of women in the motorcycle scene. The English word “wrench” means something like “wrench” in German and “wrench off” can be translated as “tear off”.

Four teams from four European countries compete: Germany, Italy, Austria and Sweden. You still have time until the end of August 2019 to work on the four Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 Twin EFI to complete. The finished custom bikes are presented on Glemseck 101 and put to the test in sprint races. Before that, it will be the projects that have not yet been completed at Women’s motorcycle festival Petrolettes to be admired, which will take place from July 26th to 28th in Ferropolis, the “City of Iron”, east of Dessau.
