the Ducati Hypermotard 950 family will be updated for model year 2022 and will receive a new paint job for the SP version. All models meet the Euro 5 emissions standard and will be available from dealers as early as June 2021.

The portfolio of the Funbike family is further diversified into the versions Hypermotard 950, Hypermotard 950 RVE and Hypermotard 950 SP. The overall concept with the exposed tubular space frame and the raised exhaust will also be retained for the 2022 model year.

Unchanged performance at Euro 5

The Testastretta V2 with 937 cm³ displacement is also retained, which in the Euro 5 trim also delivers 114 hp at 9,000 rpm and reaches its maximum torque of 96 Nm at 7,250 tours. An A2 variant is also available. Ducati has readjusted the gearshift. As with the Monster and the SuperSport 950, the gearbox has been revised to make it easier to put into neutral while stationary and to make gear changes more precise. For this purpose, the shift drum now runs on bearings and the shift lever spring is more pretensioned.

SP in a new look

The color of the new paintwork of the SP version is reminiscent of the MotoGP machines of the Reds, with a graphic dash of freestyle. Other differentiating features of the SP include an Ohlins chassis with longer suspension travel, forged wheels from Marchesini and a standard Quickshifter for clutch-free upshifts and downshifts.

The normal Hypermotard 950 continues in the red color scheme, the Hypermotard 950 RVE is characterized by its “graffiti”-Painting off. Ducati has not yet announced prices for the new model year.

Conclusion

Ducati is raising the Hypermotard 950 model family for the 2022 model year to Euro 5 level. Nothing changes in the performance data. But the SP gets a new color scheme and all an improved transmission.
