With the new Monster Ducati throws off all ballast of the glorious past. A quantum leap in driving dynamics.

The Testastretta hung very directly on the gas during the ride, didn’t jerk a bit below 2,500 rpm and turned up very nicely.

The power delivery was very linear and the running smoothness was pronounced.

The most amazing thing was of course the handling of the new Ducati Monster (2021).

A nudge on the much more relaxed handlebar – and it willingly folds down. It can unwind any line.

Ducati Monster Experience: Augmented Reality via mobile phone
Ducati Monster Experience
Park your monsters wherever you want
Before buying a new Ducati Monster, anyone who wants to be absolutely sure that the monster is comfortable in the new stable can check it via mobile phone and augmented reality. But you can also play all kinds of jokes with it and park the monsters in unexpected places.

Before we get to the practical jokes: It takes two to three attempts to get the angle, light and distance to the planned one “parking spot” the Ducati Voting monsters using augmented reality. It also helps to choose a background with a clear geometric structure – just parking the monsters on the outstretched hand turns out to be almost impossible. Once you have understood the functional principle, there are almost no limits to your imagination.
Jens Kratschmar
Strong light or too low a contrast in the background let the monsters fade a little. Otherwise it’s easy and cheap fun, because it’s free.
The monsters in the loo
Of course, the more or less sane park the monsters first in the more unfamiliar places. The author doesn’t have far to go to the toilet and the Ducati Monster + in Aviator Gray fits perfectly into it. In the open air – where most of the monsters are parked – fairly evenly lit places should be chosen. Even standing in the shade and simulating the monsters in the sun, the Ducati is only shown dimly. Once parked, the monster can be scaled in any size and rotated at will. Jokes and imagination are gratifyingly few limits. There is no need for an app or any registry. Simply go to the Ducati homepage using your smartphone or tablet and park your car.
Those who just want to look at the new monsters can take a look at the photo show.
Conclusion
Where is the “Buy it now button” when you need it. No, only a few should make a final purchase decision for a new Ducati Monster, the monster experience via augmented reality is definitely a humorous gimmick.
