Fat Boy shines
Harley-Davidson
The Fat Boy has been one of the most impressive appearances in the Harley-Davidson portfolio for decades.
While Harley often gives buyers the choice of a lot of chrome or little for 2021, the company takes the decision completely off the 2021 Fatboy. All previously matt chrome-plated surfaces of the Fatboy 114 are now only available in gloss chrome. According to Harley, this is a result of customer surveys who generally want more visibility for the Fat Boy. Also new for the Fat Boy: the 107 motor variant is no longer available. They are only available with the 1,868 cubic engine, 95 hp and 155 Nm, from 23,695 euros plus 560 euros for ancillary costs.

The Street Glide 2021 is also available with a black or chrome finish. The engine, exhaust and fork then have different surfaces.
For the three topcase-less touring models Road King Special, Street Glide Special and Road Glide Special from Harley-Davidson There will be new colors in 2021, which also allow the choice between a black and a chrome coating for the engine, exhaust and fork. Standard is chrome, the black coating costs 1,490 euros in addition to the paint version. The Road King Special and Street Glide Special are also equipped with new Daymaker LED headlights. All three models have new, flat crash bars. Harley-Davidson Touring models equipped with the Boom! Box GTS are now compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. If the driver connects his compatible smartphone with one of the two apps, he can access media, streaming services and navigation. The three excavators are also exclusively powered by the 114 engine, but in the torque-oriented version with 158 Nm and 94 hp. With this engine, the maximum output is 230 revs later at 5,250 tours, which increases the elasticity compared to the cruiser engines.
CVO models with even more bass
Harley-Davidson
The CVO Limited is available in two colors and costs 42,695 euros, plus transfer.
The Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) models in 2021 will include four types: CVO Street Glide, CVO Road Glide and CVO Limited, as well as the Trike CVO Tri Glide. All four 2021 CVO models have new paintwork and new design features. They are also still the only bikes in the Harley-Davidson portfolio to be offered with the Milwaukee Eight 117 twin. Depending on the model, they draw from 1,922 cubic meters of 105 to 107 hp and 163 to 169 Nm. The CVO models start at 39,795 euros for the CVO Street Glide, 40,795 euros for the CVO Road Glide and 42,695 euros for the CVO Limited up to the 53,495 euros expensive CVO Trike.
Harley-Davidson
A series Harley couldn’t be more expensive than the CVO Trike: The 2021 model costs a hefty 53,495 euros, plus 1,260 euros for transport and assembly. 700 euros more than a two-wheeled H-D.
The CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models are now equipped with the new Fosgate sound system for the first time. Loudspeakers and amplifiers were specially developed for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and now complement the standard Boom GTS infotainment system ex works. All CVO models are still equipped with the RDRS Safety Enhancements. This is a technology package of electronic assistance systems that support the driver in unexpected traffic situations and in adverse road conditions. The assistance systems include the curve-optimized electronic brake force distribution (C-ELB), the curve anti-lock braking system (C-ABS), the curve traction control (C-TCS), the traction control (DSCS), the vehicle holding assistant (VHC) and the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Conclusion
New colors, design and a little more comfort. These are actually all things that Harley had always introduced in the autumn of previous years. This year it is only in January, which should be the same for customers of the Fat Boy and CVO models. The CVO models in particular are always sold out.
