Four branches are closing

Out of Austria: Hein Gericke announces the closure of branches in Austria.

As of September 30, 2017 Hein Gericke to close its four branches in Austria. The locations in Vienna with two Hein Gericke shops, Sankt Polten and Linz with one each are affected. This means that Hein Gericke Handelsgesellschaft Austria will no longer be continued after 30 years, confirmed Hein Gericke’s Head of Marketing Patrick Altenstrasser when asked.

33 shops in Germany are not affected

Hein Gericke will only rely on online trading in Austria in the future, according to a press release from the accessories chain. Hein Gericke recorded “very good growth rates” online, according to Altenstrasser. The two shops in Great Britain and Belgium are to be continued by Hein Gericke Europe GmbH. The 33 shops in Germany are also not affected by the announced closure.

In the press release, Hein Gericke sales manager Rene Schartel expressed “our special thanks for thirty eventful years” to the employees of the shops to be closed in Austria and the Austrian customers.
