The Honda Africa Twin Enduro Sports Concept study at EICMA 2016 shows what is possible on the basis of the Honda CRF 1000 L Africa Twin.

Here, Honda’s European development department, located in Rome, was allowed to let off steam: the CRF 1000 L as a sinewy, well-trained extreme athlete called the Honda Africa Twin Enduro Sports Concept. Sure, the study is, to put it mildly, not really mass-compatible, let alone roadworthy. It should show what is possible with a lot of imagination and the right parts.

The Honda Africa Twin Enduro Sports Concept is made fit with various parts from Honda’s CRF single-cylinder competition models for tougher pace in rougher terrain. It looks much narrower in the middle and at the rear, although central components such as the engine, tank and frame have remained the same.

Puristic Honda Africa Twin Enduro Sports Concept

The headlamp mask has disappeared at the front, the same applies to the second brake disc and superfluous fuss like indicators or even mirrors. A narrow Termignoni muffler contributes to the sinewy rear end. Whether a production motorcycle like the Honda Africa Twin Enduro Sport Concept should actually be built obviously depends on the public’s reaction to the study shown in Milan. We are excited. And full of anticipation for the production bike at EICMA 2017.
