A Swedish company for special bodies converted several Honda Gold Wings into tow motorcycles in 2005. But not to tow other motorcycles, but cars. Some of these converted Honda tourers are still on the road today.

For the towing Gold Wing, the now defunct Swedish company designed a foldable hydraulic arm that is a good one meter wide on the Stern of the Gold Wing is housed. The Swedish company was called Coming Through and had the ingenious vehicle in operation internationally. At the CF Motoring Service towing service in Newcastle, UK, at least two Gold Wing Retrievers are still in use on the breakdown and traffic jam-plagued A1. The advantage: the emergency vehicle often gets to the scene of the incident faster than a conventional tow truck because it does not have to rely on a large rescue corridor or the like.

Conclusion
Honda Gold Wings are considered endurance runners for a reason. Even when converted to a car tow truck, they are apparently very robust. Even after 16 years, two of the Swedish conversions are still in service in England.
