Admittedly, this is one of the brand new leather jackets IXS Eliott “Spirit of 79” not really anymore. The retro-style jacket was presented at EICMA 2016. Nevertheless, we now had the opportunity to try out the leather jacket. And the first impression is definitely positive.

Good workmanship, acceptable price

Let’s start with the workmanship, which is a success through and through: Both the cowhide nappa leather and the zippers make a high-quality impression. The embroidered logos also look good. The IXS Eliott sat excellently in the practical test, both while riding the motorcycle and in everyday use. Elbow and shoulder protectors are in the right places, a back protector must be retrofitted.

The outer pockets can be closed with a zipper.

With the straps on the back of the jacket, the size in the waist area can be adjusted a little, the sleeve ends are provided with well-running zippers. Two buttons have been integrated in the neck area, with which the jacket can be completely attached “button up” leaves. A total of three pockets await inside. One of them is ideal for stowing smaller things such as a smartphone. There are three pockets on the outside that can be closed with a zipper. There is also a removable thermal net inside the jacket.

The IXS Eliott “Spirit of 79” is available in three different colors: brown, black and green. Buyers can choose from sizes 46 to 66. At the beginning, the leather jacket cost just under 330 euros. It is now available on the popular sales portals for just under 300 euros.
