With the Volpker NRT48 Schubert-Motors by ERC team, the IDM superbikers Stefan Kerschbaumer and Jan Buhn took another excursion into the long-distance scene. It ended with a brilliant achievement – victory in the Superstock class of the FIM Endurance World Championship.

In the 8-hour race at the Slovakia Ring near Bratislava, the Austrian and the German took turns with newcomer Julian Puffe in the saddle of the BMW S 1000 RR. In the end, Kerschbaumer brought the bike to the finish with a lead of 15 seconds over his closest rival in the class. Jan Buhn was overwhelmed: “After the start we were in third place, but when a team fell in front of us, we moved up to second place. From then on we fought a tough battle with the # 333. I made a small mistake during the pit stop that cost us a minute. Of course, I was afraid that it wouldn’t be enough to win and I tried to make it up on the track. That worked, I was able to take the lead on my last turn and Stefan then brought the win to the finish. “
