Batteries and cooling system are built into the Vision DC Roadster in such a way that they look like the BMW boxer.

The view from above clearly shows the lateral shape of the batteries and the cooling system. The highlight: When the electric motor is started, the cooling elements slide out slightly to the side and indicate that it is ready to drive.

The electric drive is placed under the batteries and directly connected to the cardan.

Where the fuel tank is usually located on combustion motorcycles, the BMW Vision DC Roadster has a clear view of the lattice frame and the longitudinal grooves on the frame.

The design element (longitudinal grooves) extends from the headlight (picture) over the tank to the rear suspension of the swing arm.

On the side, the bright elements on the tires should ensure better visibility, while the LED rear light takes over this task.

What will the sound of future electric motorcycles be like? Will they have to be at least minimally audible for security reasons? We don’t (yet) know what the Vision DC Roadster sounds like, whether it hums audibly, for example.

"New and independent aesthetics in the best BMW tradition", According to BMW, this is what the Vision DC Roadster was all about.

New electric motorcycles from BMW
Brand registrations indicate an electric offensive
The designations DC 01, DC 02, DC 03 and so on, up to DC 09, clearly refer to the electrical concept "Vision DC Roadster", which in turn leads us to suspect that BMW may be planning an electric offensive.
Left eleven new names B.Register and protect MW motorcycle. They all point to new electric motorcycles and electric scooters: DC 01, DC 02, DC 03, DC 04, DC 05, DC 06, DC 07, DC 08 and DC 09. According to BMW, the names are for motorcycles, parts and accessories as well as for Vehicle models provided. The sequence of letters leaves us "DC" Look in the direction of the Vision DC Roadster – BMW presented the electric motorcycle concept in June 2019. DC stands for direct current in the name of the Vision DC Roadster, and also in the new names.
E-roadsters, e-tourers, e-adventure bikes
That same year, in December 2019, the less visionary, but more realistic BMW E-Power Roadster Concept followed. The numbers 01 to 09 indicate that several models or versions are planned, which conceptually may be somewhere between the Vision DC Roadster and the E-Power Roadster Concept. We are assuming that the registration of so many brand names is for long-term planning and that BMW will not launch electric motorcycles of all categories on the market in a timely manner. In the long term, however, we will be on the lookout for e-roadsters, e-tourers, e-adventure bikes, etc..
CE for two new BMW electric scooters
The other two newly registered names are CE 02 and CE 04. They are reserved for two new BMW electric scooters, because the names of the scooters already bear this today "C." in the name of. C Evolution is the name of the current electric scooter from BMW, which was presented in 2012 and has been in series production since 2014. A new CE 04 could be the successor to the current C Evolution, while a smaller, cheaper version called CE 02 suggests itself as a useful addition.
Conclusion
How likely is it that our guesses will come true? Looking at previous trademark registrations: very likely. For many models, BMW had the names registered and saved in advance and the models followed with precisely this name. That the abbreviation "DC" will be used for future BMW electric motorcycles and "CE" for electric scooters is also considered safe from the references above.
