Technically, the Rotobox is based on competition enduro models from Yamaha.

Up until now, Rotobox was actually better known as a manufacturer of carbon wheels.

A road approval is likely to be difficult to implement in this country.

Thanks to the in-house carbon wheels, the Rotobox-Sumo should weigh only 119 kilograms.

Noble sumo based on Yamaha
Ducati Hypermotard, KTM 690 SMC or Husqvarna 701 Supermoto are not exclusive enough for you? Then the rather noble Rotobox Moto Splice Supermoto could be just the thing for financially strong sumo fans.
E.The Slovenian manufacturer Rotobox is actually known for its high-quality carbon rims. Now Rotobox would also like to make a name for itself as a tuning company. The first project is a noble Supermoto project, which has a lot to offer in terms of price and should not be for everyone. The Slovenians charge a slim 29,830 euros for the Rotobox Moto Splice Supermoto. In return, however, buyers receive a package of pretty fine and partly individualized components.
Yamaha models as a basis
The basic models are the Yamaha YZ 250 F, the Yamaha YZ 450 F, the Yamaha WR 250 F and the Yamaha WR 450 F from the years 2018 and 2019. The swing arm of the YZF-R6 was also installed at the rear. The frame comes from the WR 450 F. The new framework conditions allow a 5.5 inch wide 17 inch rear wheel to be integrated with a 190 mm slick. The ceramic-coated exhaust is also a custom-made product. The rear fender and some other components were made with a 3D printer. As expected, the wheels are made of carbon and come from our own company. Included are suspension elements from Ohlins, brakes from Brembo and a modified cockpit. The Slovenians opted for a racing variant for the seat. With a full tank, the Rotobox Moto Splice should weigh just 119 kilograms.

The wheels are made of carbon.
The question remains, how it looks with the street legal. In any case, in the manufacturer pictures the bike is wearing slicks from Bridgestone. Mirrors and stands cannot be seen either. For this purpose, bulbs and indicators are on board. The Yamaha models used as the basis and not compliant with Euro4 are not intended for the road as standard. So it should be difficult with a road approval for the Splice Supermoto, which is why many motorcyclists in this country should ask the question of whether such an expensive model makes sense. Further information is available on the manufacturer’s website www.rotobox-moto.com.
