The Spanish police have now asked a group of motorcyclists to pay for their frenzy. The Guardia Civil used a video uploaded to the network as the source material.

A group of ten Spaniards now has a lot of dearly for a group of ten Spaniards who have ridden a motorcycle tour on Spanish country roads. The tour was a long time ago, but the government struck relentlessly.

In March 2019, the group drove on the popular NA-1110 highway in Navarre, also known as the “Mataburros”. One driver in the group filmed the trip with an onboard camera and later posted the trip online. He would have preferred to leave it. The Spanish police became aware of the recording and began to investigate. The approximately five-minute long video documented at least 39 traffic offenses and hazards, some of them serious. The speeds driven were also recorded.

After a good ten months of investigation, the Guardia Civil was able to identify the ten drivers between the ages of 28 and 38 years. In total, the group members have now been fined a total of 14,100 euros. In addition, the pilots got a total of 132 points.

In Spain, a points system has been in place since 2006, which grants every driver a credit of 12 points (novice drivers: 8 points). Those who remain unpunished for two years receive two additional points, and after another two years of unpunished status they receive an additional point. Motorists can therefore accumulate a maximum of 15 points. Unlike in Germany, points are deducted from the account for certain offenses. If all points have been used up, you are not allowed to drive for at least six months or one year. He then has to take the theoretical driving test again for retraining.
