helmet In terms of quality, the full-face helmet makes a great impression, and in practice the marble proves to be a solid, functional companion that is easy to use. With gloves on, the sun visor is difficult to operate, and without a pinlock (but there are photos!) The visor steams up quickly. But the bottom line: great value, buy!
Model: Nishua NTX-2
Sizes: XS to XL
Price in €: 219.99
MOTORRAD verdict: Good
Jacket / pants The high percentage of stretch in the jeans helps to crack the bottom, but a much more important side effect is: The CE protectors sit nicely and securely on the knees, great! The leather jacket, also with protectors and an exemplary body-hugging fit, offers good protection. However, it is cut very short and the wearing comfort could be better.
Model: Cafe Racer Brittany / Highway 1 Denim II
Sizes: 34 to 46/27 to 33 in length 30 or 32
Price in €: 249.99 (+ back protector 39.99) / 99.99
MOTORRAD verdict: Good
gloves Fit and wearing comfort are perfectly fine due to the successful proportions. But when it comes to safety, the retro-trimmed, rather summery, thin glove gives a rather weak picture: hardly any padded and reinforced, and the anti-slip protection is mediocre because the Velcro does not close properly. But okay for short city trips.
Model: Highway 1 Retro III
Sizes: S to XXL
Price in €: 49.99
MOTORRAD verdict: satisfying
Boots In the event of a fall, boots that are much too loose and inadequately secured can easily come off the foot, creating a dangerous safety gap. Ankle protectors, torsionally stiff sole, shin guards? Nothing. In any case, these boots are not recommended for motorcycling! They look cool as city boots, but they are not very comfortable to wear.
Model: Highway 1 Zamora
Sizes: 36 to 41
Price in €: 129.99
MOTORRAD verdict: inadequate

Iris Fischer (28), editorial manager
This is what the driver says: For shorter tours and when driving into the city, I find it very pleasant not to have to put on a whole set of armor right away. I would also wear the jeans in everyday life and go to the cinema or the pub with them. Looks good – and you hardly notice the knee protectors. The cool, beautifully simple, but figure-hugging jacket is actually exactly my thing, but at least when new, the leather smells abnormally pungent, and it gave me uncomfortable pressure on the elbow. The thin gloves and the zero grip boots don’t give me any security. It just makes me feel uncomfortable on the motorcycle, even at slow pace in the city! With the helmet, on the other hand, I would go on long tours including the motorway without hesitation. – Iris Fischer (28), Editorial manager

Thorsten Dentges (46), service editor and clothing tester
This is what the expert says: Of course, you want to look good in front of the ice cream parlor and in the school yard and not have to act like a functional clothing honk. The urban clothes really look great on women and also offer sufficient protection when they are well hidden! Above all, there is nothing wrong with the mid-range full-face helmet, which is suitable for touring. So everything is great from head to toe? Not at all, because the boots made on punk don’t work at all! Here pure fashion shoes with unacceptable security gaps are offered for sale as motorcycle boots. This is misleading, because every lace-up hiking shoe offers more protection in the event of a fall. Bikers should rather look around for more functional alternatives in the Louis range – the style police will forgive it. – Thorsten Dentges (46), Service editor and clothing tester

helmet Only 1230 grams (in size M) for a full-face helmet, wow, light! But is that a full-fledged touring helmet? No. The retro marble is thinly padded, has a rickety visor and an impractical snap fastener. The testers liked the fit differently, but it has a wonderfully large field of vision and looks cool. Alternative to a jet helmet.
Model: Hero Root
Sizes: XS to XL
Price in €: 199.95
MOTORRAD verdict: satisfying
Jacket / pants Both are nice and airy and are therefore well suited for city cruising on warm days. On longer distances below 20 degrees, however, you cool down, and since there is no other weather protection, the station wagon quickly reaches its limits on tours. But fit and comfort are great. And the protective effect? Orderly.
Model: Hero Bodie / Fame II
Sizes: S to 3XL / 28 to 50 in length 32 or 34 + children’s sizes
Price in €: 249.95 / 139.95
MOTORRAD verdict: Good
gloves The soft leather is very comfortable to wear and the proportions fit. The seat is nice and crisp, but you have to close the Velcro fastener tightly, otherwise the anti-slip protection on these short gloves is not in good order. Except for small padding, the fall protection is rather moderate, but sufficient for city traffic. Good: easy handling!
Model: Hero Emotion Evo
Sizes: 6 to 12
Price in €: 59.95
MOTORRAD verdict: satisfying
Boots The motorcycle sneaker offers better safety than it would suggest at first glance. Above all, the comparatively torsionally stiff sole and good ankle protectors distinguish it from normal sneakers. In addition, there is a solid, abrasion-resistant leather as the upper material. The side zip when putting on and taking off is practical in everyday life.
Model: Hero Aaron
Sizes: 37 to 47
Price in €: 139.95
MOTORRAD verdict: Good

Sven Loll (44), MOTORCYCLE test driver
What the driver says: With this complete set of equipment, some things didn’t fit particularly well with me. The shoes were pinching, the collar on my jacket was too tight and the flap on my trousers was too wide. And I didn’t get along particularly well with the helmet in terms of fit. To cut a long story short: I didn’t like the clothes on longer trips, and since it was sometimes below 15 degrees, I often felt uncomfortable due to the lack of weather protection. I can imagine that this outfit is comfortable to wear in summer because there is plenty of air in the head and body everywhere. But if I just wanted to go shopping or have a coffee, I would wear it with a clear conscience. And apart from the motorcycle you look really civil and can be seen everywhere. That is also an advantage. – Sven Loll (44), MOTORCYCLE test driver

Tobias Beyl (30), service editor and clothing tester
This is what the expert says: Younger motorcyclists in particular often do without protective clothing, but the Held clothing shown here is in no way inferior to a combination of T-shirt and shorts thanks to its casual, comfortable fit and stylish look. For safety, however, it is important to actually fill the suitcase’s protector pockets: otherwise the back, hips and knees remain unprotected. The widespread use of aramid in biker jeans is positive. The boots, certified as motorcycle protective clothing, are appealing thanks to their ankle protectors. Not so good: The supple leather gloves offer no impact protection and only moderate protection. The helmet is undoubtedly pleasing optically, but operation and background noise are marginal. – Tobias Beyl (30), Service editor and clothing tester

helmet With a practical ratchet lock, the generally easy-to-use Nexo is a solid companion on tours. Okay, the visor grid should be finer, but the fit is good and the helmet is relatively light (weighs only 1530 grams in size M). In addition, the integrated sun visor provides effective protection against strong incidence of light. The price is very fair.
Model: Nexo Sport 2
Sizes: XS to XL
Price in €: 149.99
MOTORRAD verdict: Good
Jacket / pants The comparatively low price is due to the fact that the proportion of cheap textile fabric in this leather suit is quite high. But in almost all relevant fall zones, thick cowhide leather is installed, which ensures a high level of safety. A body-hugging fit and good protection fit underline the sporting ambitions of this two-piece suit.
Model: Firefox Sport Combi 2 pcs. 2.0
Sizes: 48 to 56
Price in €: 399.99
MOTORRAD verdict: Good
gloves Consistently comfortable to wear with good mobility, paired with very good security. The beefy ankle protector feels a bit hard at first, but the stable construction makes perfect sense in the event of a fall. The mediocre stripping protection could, however, be improved. Still a good choice for sports driving novices!
Model: FLM Sports 2.0 in short
Sizes: 8 to 10.5
Price in €: 89.99
MOTORRAD verdict: Good
Boots Anti-slip protection, shock absorption and mobility are on a good level, but the wearing comfort is low. Due to the fit, kinks form, painful pressure points and chafing areas are extremely annoying even on short walks. The zipper is difficult to use and opened by itself during test drives. That inspires little trust.
Model: FLM Sports 2.0 perforated
Sizes: 36 to 46
Price in €: 149.99
MOTORRAD verdict: sufficient

Johannes Muller (34), test editor
What the driver says: The combination turns out crisp like a one-piece, for me it should have been 52 instead of size 50. Despite the very sporty cut, the Firefox material offers good freedom of movement and also holds the protectors perfectly where they belong. Good feeling of security! Pockets are missing according to the sporty orientation, but that’s okay – just like the high textile content. Overall thumbs up for the two-parter. The perfectly fitting gloves are pleasantly ventilated and offer great wearing comfort. The helmet smelled unpleasant for a while, and it doesn’t feel particularly light either, but it makes a solid impression. Only the boots would be taboo for me personally: poor workmanship – and because of the high, hard ankle protectors, every single step hurt. – Johannes Mueller (34), Test editor

Jorg Lohse (48), Head of Service
This is what the expert says: In and of itself, wearing sports equipment is a good idea even on 125 cc bikes. Because although you certainly won’t break any speed records with the little runabouts, you should still protect your bones as best you can. If possible with solid leather. And a decent helmet should be worn on the head, in other words: full visor and good chin protection! The polo equipment with its very decent protective effect meets the requirements worthy of praise, because with only 800 euros on your pocket it is difficult to find complete sports equipment anywhere. The equivalent value is right, but the low suitability for everyday use, poor wearing comfort and almost no weather protection stand in the way of this. But real sports people can take a lot, right? – Jorg Lohse (48), Head of Service

helmet The lining feels comfortable on the skin, and the fit and comfort of this full-face helmet are good. It also has an actually very practical, integrated sun visor, which only fills half the field of vision and is sometimes irritating. Whistling noises while driving and very poor ventilation are a nuisance on tour.
Model: Ixs HX 215 Triangle
Sizes: XS to 2XL
Price in €: 149.95
MOTORRAD verdict: satisfying
Jacket / pants The jacket sits a little uncomfortably on the collar, and the Velcro fastener quickly catches longer hair – annoying! The trousers should be cut a bit higher, but otherwise there is hardly anything to complain about about the waterproof textile combination with removable thermal lining and practical pockets. The protectors sit perfectly.
Model: Ixs Alana Evo / Ixs Anna-ST
Sizes: DS to D5XL / DXS to D5XL + short sizes
Price in €: 179.95 / 179.95
MOTORRAD verdict: Good
gloves On the plus side: high wearing comfort, well ventilated for summer temperatures, especially because of the perforated leather, solid workmanship and very easy handling. Very practical for shorter journeys. And the ankle protector is well placed and doesn’t bother you. But stripping protection and stability are poor. Glove only partially safe!
Model: Ixs Talura II
Sizes: DS to DXL
Price in €: 69.95
MOTORRAD verdict: satisfying
Boots With good workmanship, stable fit including shaft width adjustment (special use) and very good walking comfort, these touring boots with membrane are recommended. The 3-D mesh lining ensures a reasonably good foot climate on warm days. The shin guards that are too small, however, do not fully cover. Nevertheless: safe and comfortable pedals at a reasonable price!
Model: Ixs Comfort-ST women

Mona Pekarek (22), volunteer
This is what the driver says: The textile suit wrapped me pretty snuggly during the breaks, but while driving I was probably one of the few in the group who didn’t freeze – so that’s a plus! In terms of style, I would prefer to go for something more colorful, but personally I feel a little too much “snowsuit look” with the combination. For young drivers: rather out. It was super comfortable in the boots, including warm feet all day long: a woman’s dream! I would definitely buy the sporty and very pretty gloves, but probably not for the racetrack. In everyday life, however, a very comfortable summer glove. The helmet, well, it was just sitting on my head. It sat quite well there, didn’t press, but I couldn’t get rid of the permanent sound of a flying witch’s broom when the ventilation was closed! – Mona Pekarek (22), Volunteer

Tobias Wassermann (42), MOTORRAD clothing store manager
This is what the expert says: Motorcycling women generally only have a relatively small selection of women’s clothing – many manufacturers even have nothing in their range. This is precisely why I find the size range for the textile combination at Ixs remarkable, there are even short sizes for stocky people. Exemplary! The quality of the equipment is not great in my opinion, but it is solid for the price. The helmet: inexpensive standard Far East goods. If it fits – fine, otherwise: pick up a few more euros and look for a better one! The gloves look sporty, but are only recommended for shorter journeys. The well thought-out, waterproof boots, on the other hand, are good touring companions for the whole year. – Tobias Wassermann (42), MOTORRAD clothing store manager

helmet The folding function is very practical on tours and was well received. Especially in city traffic when it can be very stuffy behind the visor. The mechanism is easy to use and the sun visor tint is also well coordinated. Particularly convincing: the great fit. Fits like a glove, no stress even after hours of wearing!
Model: Bayard FP-20S Vegas
Sizes: XS to XXL
Price in €: 159.00
MOTORRAD verdict: very good
Jacket / pants Comfortable and comfortable to wear, the cut has been made, the proportions fit. The jacket is only cut so wide on the sleeves that the CE protectors can twist. The weather protection is good thanks to the climate membrane, long tours are not a problem. However, the textile suit is a bit sweaty in summer temperatures.
Model: Difi Odeon / Difi Track
Sizes: S to 6XL + short and long sizes / XS to 6XL + short and long sizes
Price in €: 249.95 / 159.95
MOTORRAD verdict: Good
gloves A comparatively high textile content ensures good air conditioning when it is warm, but the gloves are too poorly insulated for trips below ten degrees Celsius. The workmanship is good, and the solid leather offers decent protection, even if the scraper protection could be better. But the wearing comfort of the waterproof Difis is right – so is the price.
Model: Difi Drizzle 2
Sizes: XS to 4XL
Price in €: 79.95
MOTORRAD verdict: satisfying
Boots It is probably due to the inexpensive climate membrane that a sweaty interior climate quickly develops in the shoe at temperatures above 20 degrees and on footpaths. But with a high level of anti-slip protection, decent padding and good ankle protection, as well as an exemplary stable basic construction, these touring boots can score points in terms of safety. Class! Solid boot.
Model: Difi performer

Lars Ackermann (17), 125 guest tester
What the driver says: I haven’t tried that much gear on the bike before, but this one is the best I’ve ever had on me. The helmet fits perfectly, and I found the folding mechanism really great, especially in heavy city traffic or when you get off the car and want to talk to or talk to your fellow passengers. The textile suit felt completely light, absolutely comfortable and skin-friendly. I took the food out straight away, and then I found it still warm enough at temperatures below 15 degrees. The gloves were a little cold. I also found the boots really good. You feel extremely safe in it, but never restricted in your movements. So, I would take this well-balanced configuration right away. For every tour! – Lars Ackermann (17), 125 guest tester

Markus Biebricher (54), Head of Travel
This is what the expert says: I think it’s great when the youngsters from the eight-liter class go on long tours or even trips lasting several days. But no matter which machine: When the weather is bad, you have to be able to count on good clothing. That means: a closed helmet, flip-up helmet is also possible, three-quarter-length jacket and high-open pants (because of good overlap), climate membrane as well as waterproof boots and gloves. Certainly you have to make compromises in the lower price range, especially when it comes to air conditioning. Cheap membranes are simply not as breathable as high-quality Goretex goods. But a jacket alone can easily cost 800 beeps! As much as all of the Motoport equipment that is absolutely okay for touring beginners. – Markus Biebricher (54), Head of Travel
