Trinity Neon

Electric motorcycle as a moped

Trinity launches its first own electric motorcycle on the European market. The machine, named Neon, is available in an off-road (Neon X) and street version (Neon S).

B.For a long time Trinity was only active as an importer of electric scooters with top speeds of 45 km / h, 70 km / h and 120 km / h on the European market. With the introduction of an electric motorcycle, which was presented at INTERMOT in Cologne, a new target group for electric mobility is to be won.

Range from 50 kilometers

The Trinity Neon electric motorcycle, which weighs 110 kilograms with a battery, is approved as a moped with a top speed of 45 km / h. The up to 6 kW electric motor should, however, enable acceleration and pulling power on the level of a 125cc. The Neon can accommodate two 1.9 kWh batteries (72V / 26Ah) under the bench, which enables a realistic range of around 100 km. With a battery, the range is accordingly around 50 km. The lithium batteries are removable, weigh about 13 kg each and can be fully charged in six hours.

There are three driving profiles to choose from for the pilot. The eco mode greatly reduces the starting behavior, the torque and the top speed. This allows the specified range to be increased to over 50%. The drive mode is designed for relaxed and safe driving in everyday life. The sport mode enables a dynamic driving style.

Price from 3,699 euros

The Trinity Neon is equipped with a Keyless-Go system and is brought to life with a start / stop button. The lighting uses LED technology. A 21-inch wheel rotates at the front and the Neon is 18-inch at the rear. The two-seater is decelerated with disc brakes on both wheels. A central spring strut springs at the rear and an upside-down fork at the front.

The list price for the new Trinity Neon is 3,699 euros with one battery and 4,499 euros with two batteries. The Neon X and Neon S can now be pre-ordered on the company’s website. The deliveries will then take place in March / April 2019.
