No effect-demanding model name à la Tropical Monsoon or Atlantic Stormtrooper. Accessory professional Buse names his 30 liter piece of luggage simply after what it is and what it can do: backpack, waterproof. So we pack our belongings in the bag, shoulder it and give it a real boost.

No failures and real stamina

5,000 kilometers later, the balance sheet: What do you like and what you don’t? It’s waterproof, there’s no doubt about that. Made of welded tarpaulin – popularly known as “truck tarpaulin” – and with an impressively easy-to-use roll closure, the rucksack showed no failures and genuine stamina over many thousands of test kilometers. The carrier system with extra chest and hip belt ensures a comfortable, stable fit on brisk tours.

The airflow can only get caught in the bulge of the roll-up closure when you are stooped in a sporty position, which is why the shoulder straps cut into the armpits in the long run. The interior is not divided, pockets for small parts would make the “waterproof backpack” even more useful. After all, an outside pocket with a zipper scores points.

Noticed positively: Well padded, stable seat, waterproof

Noticed negatively: Lean equipment without compartments

Conclusion

The waterproof Buse backpack made a solid impression in the long-term test. Above all, the good upholstery and the comfortable seat were positively noticed over the 5,000 kilometers. If you are looking for a backpack with many compartments to better organize your items, you will not be happy with the Buse backpack.
