The Bobber Garage from Liechtenstein has an international reputation. Several trophies won in Sturgis testify to Reini Servello’s ability. He dares to try a Yamaha for the first time.

You always shine with these three facts about Liechtenstein. First: the national currency is the Swiss franc. Second: the national anthem has the tune of “God save the Queen” -which also drops the title of the British anthem. And third: With Reini von der Bobber Garage, Liechtenstein has a world-class customizer. He actually builds Harleys and sometimes one too Yamaha XSR700.

The Harley man and the Yamaha

Reini does not shy away from the challenge that Yamaha Switzerland poses to the Harley man: An XSR is to be converted for a sprint race in Switzerland. Reini likes the idea and a flat tracker goes straight through his mind. the XSR 700 is perfect for him.

Start right at the front

Conversions do not often start with the front mask, but rather fit in harmoniously with the conversion process. But Reini starts exactly with the shield-shaped board and immediately encloses a projection spotlight. Behind it are the original fittings on a flat handlebar from Rizoma, the fine hand levers come from the same company. The well-known XSR instrument still looms over the steering head. Reini leaves the tank and the rear frame as standard. Liechtenstein does not lend a hand again until the bench from Japan: flat upholstery under rustic leather with fine quilting. The rear end is rounded off by a raised Akrapovic muffler from the Yamaha range of accessories. The Fujin-baptized variation is expertly crowned by airbrush master Marcus Pfeil.

Many are beautiful, but also impassable.

Better to leave it in its original condition.

Conclusion

Yamaha never tire of presenting the XSR models in its portfolio as the best possible basis for custom bikes. This year it’s the turn of the federal fields, supported by a customizer from Liechtenstein.
