At Benelli, the face has changed a lot since the dawn of the 21st century. At its rebirth, the Italian manufacturer offered for its entry level nothing less than a sulphurous 900 Tornado. Today, the youngest of the range is a 2 and a half, plays in the roadsters category and targets young bikers. Just back to the roots of a brand that started its career with simple, affordable and small-displacement motorcycles?!? It’s up to everyone to find something for themselves…
To discover the Benelli world, it starts now with this BN 251. Small mutinous roadster, it would sometimes make us think of a small Duke, sometimes of a mini Kawa. References far from trivial. Its inverted 41 mm fork immediately poses a certain respect, while the ridges of the tank and the engine shoe ribbing the pace. To believe that the BN 251 would like to play with Arsouille sauce. Let the adrenaline junkies calm down: the machine will want to have fun in the city but no question of going for the speed of sound. The berlingot will be satisfied with a large twenty horses (24.5 to 9000 rpm) and a little more than 2 mkg of torque. The tubular steel frame rests on the engine to optimize its rigidity.
