EICMA 2019
BMW is working on a cruiser range with the new, large 1,800 boxer. At the EICMA, another variant was presented virtually with the BMW Concept R18 / 2. The bike will really be on display at the custom bike show in Bad Salzuflen.
AT.At the Villa d’Este, BMW presented the Concept R18 in early summer 2019, followed by the Concept R18 / 2 at EICMA 2019. It is the stylistic alternative to the Concept R 18: a modern, dynamic custom cruiser with high performance standards. The BMW Concept R 18/2 shows another possible version of the heritage concept. However, the study could not actually be seen in Milan – it was only presented in photos and a video. From December 6th to 8th, 2019, it will finally be presented live and truly to the public at the custom bike show in Bad Salzuflen.
Study is on power cruiser
The Concept R18 / 2 is characterized by its small lamp mask around the round headlight, the deep, elongated proportions, the drop tank, the 19-inch front wheel and the fat rear tire on a 16-inch rim. All body parts are held in a bright red metallic paint.

The 1,800 cc boxer engine, from which BMW still does not provide any data, sits in a tubular steel loop frame and continuously displays its cardan drive. The radially hinged Brembo brake calipers on the front double disc brake system and the van Hattech stainless steel exhaust stand for performance.
