The BMW K 1600 GT has been moderately revised. Now the six-cylinder touring steamer offers even more features and equipment options.

At first glance, the external differences between the previous and the new BMW are obvious K 1600 GT only connoisseurs: the side panels look more angular, have a slightly different design towards the driver and clear cuts and deflectors. The latter are intended to provide improved wind and weather protection. Technically, on the other hand, little has changed, the forward-leaning row six continues to produce 160 hp and a maximum torque of 175 Nm.

New BMW K 1600 GT from 21,900 euros

In the chassis, the previously optional ESA electronic suspension is standard from the 2017 model of the BMW K 1600 GT. A reversing aid is also on board ex works to make maneuvering in and out of parking spaces or garages easier. The dials of the two instruments in the cockpit have been redesigned graphically.

For a surcharge, there is a shift assistant for clutch-free upshifting and downshifting as well as an automatic e-call emergency call system as special equipment for the BMW K 1600 GT from 2017.

In the basic version, the new BMW K 1600 GT will cost 21,900 euros. It is 650 euros more expensive than the previous model and will be available at dealers in February 2017.
