Prices, colors, styles and equipment

For the 2021 model year, BMW will again incorporate various model maintenance measures into its motorcycle program. The refreshed models can be ordered from dealers from August 2020.

ZFor the new model year, BMW is offering new colors, new styles and new standard and special equipment for various models. There is a refreshment cure for some 1250 boxers, the K1600 models, the S 1000 as RR and XR, the R18 and the F 900 as R and XR.

The changes for the new R18 are short and sweet: The only new special equipment is cruise control including steering damper. The F 900 models will receive new LED indicators for the US market and, in addition, a new activation concept for the Pro driving mode as new special equipment for all versions. The coding plug is not required. The changes to the other models are more extensive, which we list in note form below.

Changes to the BMW R 1250 RS:

  • Style Sport in Austin Yellow metallic now with a new frame color in black matt, option 719 Stardust metallic is no longer available.
  • ABS can not be switched off.
  • Changeover to EU-5.
  • New special equipment Engine drag torque control as part of the SA driving modes Pro.
  • Extended special equipment: Driving modes Pro now includes Core Screen Sport.
  • New special equipment: Option 719 Milled parts package Shadow with engine housing cover at the front & Cylinder head covers anodized in black / silver.
  • New special equipment: Option 719 Milled parts package Shadow II with hand lever, driver’s footrests and foot lever as well as compensation tank covers in black / silver anodized.
  • New special equipment: Option 719 milled parts packages Storm / Storm II with division like option 719 milled parts packages Shadow / Shadow II.
  • Option 719 HP milled parts package, HP milled parts package II and option 719 bench are omitted.
  • Sport silencer replaces previous HP rear silencer.

  • New special equipment: Changes to the content of the tour package. Extension to include additional LED headlights and engine protection bars, no reversing aid.
  • No security package.

Changes to the BMW K 1600 GTL:

  • New colors Manhattan metallic, Style Elegance and Option 719 mineral white metallic. Pollux metallic, Style Elegance and option 719 Stardust metallic as well as option 719 Blueplanet metallic / ivory are omitted.

  • New special equipment: sports package. M Endurance chain, USB charging connector and M GPS lap trigger.
  • New special equipment: USB charging port.
  • New special equipment: M Endurance chain.
  • New special equipment: M GPS lap trigger. Activation code so that a GPS sensor can send the signal to the instrument cluster. This enables the datalogger to trigger the lap timer / lap counter via GPS instead of manually.

Changes to the BMW S 1000 XR:

Not all changes to the S 1000 models will be available immediately from August 2020, and some options will still have to wait until December for some customers.
