What is your experience of Endurance ?
Randy de Puniet : I have ridden endurance racing in the Suzuka Eight Hours before, but that has nothing to do with it, it’s a two-driver sprint.
Are you afraid of managing the night? ?
MOP : This is new to me. The night tests went well, I was surprised by the good visibility, I was not bothered more than that.
Traffic ?
MOP : This is my weak point, but as I ride it gets better. Even at night, in free practice I was able to overtake some drivers. With the headlights, they shift.
The performance of the Kawasaki ZX-10R ?
MOP : This motorcycle works very well. Because of the red flag, I was deprived of pole. Too bad !
The team ?
MOP : SRC Kawasaki is one of the best Endurance teams. I am listening, I am the movement, I will not revolutionize everything.
The circuit ?
MOP : I rode there in the motorcycle Grand Prix in 1999, but on the short circuit. Last October, I rode in Endurance auto.
What do you think is the key to this Bol d’Or ?
MOP : We are in the rhythm, but we will see the tire wear: that is the key to the race.
Endurance, a logical continuation in your career ?
MOP : It was done in ten days. Afterwards, we’ll see if I’m not happy, everything is open.
