The new airbag vest from Buse was created in cooperation with the manufacturer Helite, which claims to be the market leader in Germany when it comes to portable airbag systems.

The new Buse airbag vest is designed to be worn over the rest of the motorcycle clothing. It has to be coupled to the motorcycle with the help of a rip cord that releases the airbag in the event of an accident. According to Buse, the vest inflates within 0.1 seconds and encloses the driver with a protective air cushion. According to the manufacturer Helite, full pressure should be maintained for five to ten seconds. The airbag system is activated from a pulling force of 30 kilograms. This is to prevent the airbag from being accidentally triggered when getting off the motorcycle. After all, it can happen that the rip cord is simply forgotten when dismounting.

In addition, Buse has given the airbag vest a removable SAS-TEC back protector. The Buse airbag vest is available in two colors: black and neon yellow. The black color variant costs 549.95 euros. The more conspicuous neon yellow version is a bit more expensive and can be had for 599.95 euros.

There are also reflective design elements on the chest and back. Buyers can choose from sizes S to XL. The upper material consists of coated and abrasion-resistant polyamide fabric, the inner lining of polyester.

The airbag vest is reusable once it has been deployed, provided it has not been damaged. The scope of delivery includes a 60 cm³ CO2 capsule, which can be reordered on the official Helite website for 22 euros. You can change the cartridge yourself.
