CCM Maverick: The Spitfire for the terrain
CCM Maverick
The Spitfire for the terrain
The British motorcycle manufacturer CCM is expanding its range of models around the Spitfire base. The new CCM Maverick is clearly aimed at off-road use. In other words: the British are building an enduro.

The well-known Spitfire concept of the British combines a tubular steel frame, a cantilever tubular steel swing arm and a 600 cm³ four-stroke single from Husqvarna, which comes to 55 hp and 50 Nm torque. It is shifted by a six-speed gearbox. Builds around this base CCM numerous models with different characters.
Coarse tires and fine parts
CCM
The latest addition to the Spitfire family is the CCM Maverick. Their thrust is clearly designed for driving enjoyment off the paved road. Accordingly, the spoke wheels – 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear – are covered with coarse-tread Mitas E7 + tires. For more ground clearance, the manifold system winds around the cylinder and ends in a raised twin tailpipe next to the rear. The tubular steel frame has a black plastic coating and should be less susceptible to stone chip damage.
120 millimeters of spring travel on the USD fork and the directly hinged central spring strut do not allow the trees to grow into the sky off-road, but should be sufficient for lighter terrain. High-quality Ohlins components can be retrofitted for a surcharge – but they don’t provide more spring travel.
A 320 single disc at the front is used for deceleration, supported by a 240 disc on the rear wheel. The basic brake components are supplied by J. Juan. Brembo components can be added to the bike as an option – even a double disc system at the front.
The plastic tank holds 14 liters, and the seat height on the quilted bench is 830 millimeters. The British call it 145 kilograms dry weight. For the Maverick, clutch actuation has been converted to hydraulics. In addition, some carbon protectors migrate to the bike.
Lots of options
As usual with CCM, the Maverick can also be configured individually. Countless milled parts, carbon accessories and stylish attachments are available.
CCM
CCM calls the base price for the Maverick, which is available in green and black, 9,995 pounds – the equivalent of around 11,700 euros. The customization options hardly set any upper limits. The first deliveries will take place from August 2021. So far, CCM has only sold its bikes in Great Britain, but an export to the European continent has been announced.
Conclusion
With the Maverick, CCM brings another variant of the Spitfire with a clear focus on off-road use. The Maverick is clearly oriented towards the Blackout special model.
