BMW R nineT (2017)

Air-cooled bestseller

For 2017, BMW has slightly revised the air-cooled crowd favorite, the BMW R nineT. At 15,200 euros, the new one is around 300 euros more expensive than before.

BMW has made the necessary changes through the new Euro 4 emissions standard for some innovations on the BMW R. nineT used for the 2017 model year. For the first time, traction control (Automatic Stability Control, ASC) is available as an ex-works option for the air-cooled Neo classic. The front wheel guidance in the form of the upside-down fork borrowed from the S 1000 RR super sports car is now fully adjustable for the first time, which BMW wants to remove one of the few points of criticism of the previous R nineT.

New colors for the BMW R nineT

The two round instruments for the speedometer and rev counter have been moved a little apart, which should make the cockpit of the new BMW R nineT appear even more classic. Also new are the two paint finishes, "Blackstorm metallic Vintage" with a thick yellow-black start number 21 on the standard aluminum tank and "Blueplanet metallic."

New price for the BMW R nineT

Despite the new Euro 4 mappings, the engine data of the air-cooled 1170 cubic boxer remained unchanged, namely 110 hp and 116 Nm. The new BMW R nineT is to be offered at the start of the 2017 season for 15,200 euros (plus delivery costs), which makes it 300 euros more expensive than before. According to BMW, delivery will start from the start of the 2017 season.
