Honda
Motorcycle: Bear Four Cylinder in Classic Half Shell

She looks like a motorcycle from the 80s, but is cutting. Because the Honda CB 1300 has been improved again and again, the perfection is enormous – and the engine of pure enjoyment.

If it’s about great volumed four-cylinder, Honda has always proven a happy hand. Also the current CB 1300 is in the best tradition of a CB 750 Four of 1969, the 79er Bol Dor or the 1993 CB 1000 Big One. All of these motorcycles combine classic design with a beary terraced cylinder, which is located in the case of 12 490 euros expensive CB 1300 under a chic retro half-shell.
The naked variant is no longer offered. You put a semi-clad sister to the side in 2005, which scored as CB 1300 S with improved touring skills. But maybe the great success of the slightly covered version justified in the pleasing look, which is strongly based on the legendary CB 1100 Rd from 1983.

Fan for small cast

Meanwhile, the CB 1300 S was the CB 1300 – the name has been changed, the half-shell remained. It almost protects the entire upper body from wind and rain. In addition, two practical side compartments for home door keys, mobile phone or digital camera are integrated without the shell being too dominant. At the same time, the free glance is granted to the unchanged terraced yield.
And that’s a luck, captivates the 1284 cubic centimeter’s big heart of the machine with clear lines. Especially the highly towering lids of the closely positioned camshafts determine the image of the 114 hp engine, which achieves its power high at 7750 revolutions. Thus, the current variant lies two horsepower under the first 1300 CB with a half-shell. The maximum torque of 116 Newton meters is achieved in 6000 tours, which not only makes a sixth gear superfluous, but also a wonderfully shifted driving style allows: The machine accelerates after the local passage in the fifth gear quickly up to a maximum speed of 230 km / h .

Consumption like a small car

The consumption of CB 1300 is 6.2 liters of superbin at 100 kilometers, which allows a range of around 340 kilometers in combination with the 21 liter tank. At the chassis, Honda continues to familiarize on known sizes such as the solid double loop frame or conventional 43mm cartridge fork. In the case of 2010 model, it scores with blackened fork tubular tubes. In addition, the largest CB in the program was donated a modified LED tail light and a new side cover design. Finally, the switch fittings known from the VFR 1200 F find use, which are more ergonomic.
Optical little things. However, there was only a fine-cut of a long-adult motorcycle on the plan that continues the series of big-bike legends – also priced – self-confident. After all, modern technology details, a stylish appearance and powerful touring qualities in the case of the CB 1300 have an excellent partnership.

  1. So
Looks a nice motorcycle. Timeless lines. I would miss the part even one. … Looks a nice motorcycle. Timeless lines. I would even miss the part a broadlight.

  2. I had already considered the part..
The 4 cylinders Honda engines are Realously cream and I stand on timeless design. But at all the fine cut you could have been able to get the consumption under control and today sell a machine with 5-speed gearbox to want to be bordered to customer comfort.

  3. CB 1300
A really good and timeless motorcycle also suitable for 2 persons. For braking, the author probably did not come up, because the perfect working ABS is also worth mentioning. A 6. Nevertheless, the course is missing, with fast motorway taps one is unnecessarily with quite high speeds, which raises the consumption, the torque would give it loose.(or longer 5. Corridor)
