With the Diavel, Ducati has embarked on an unknown category: the roadster-power-cruiser. And this charismatic, overpowering and pleasant creation can take pride in being a real success. The Diavel is visually and dynamically full of the mouth. The standard version announces heavy: twin derived from the Superbike with 162 horsepower, 240 mm rear gommard, enormous inverted 50 mm fork, multiple electronic crutches and a facies to calm the most enraged of Rottweilers. It may not be enough for some, and it is for them that the 1200 Diavel Carbon exists..
To justify its name, the machine is equipped with carbon fiber parts: the front fender, the tank and the seat cowl. Ducati improves the dynamism of the Diavel by gaining weight on two strategic elements: the rims. The superb Marchesini in forged aluminum allow a gain of 2.5 kilos. Another strong point, the surface treatment allowing the aluminum to sparkle within the black rim.
The more elaborate colors reinforce the premium side. Of course, the Carbon benefits from all the improvements of the Diavel phase II: new beveled exhausts, a redesigned optic surrounded by a half-ring with daytime LEDs, an improved saddle, a raised handlebar, a double ignition for each bowl of the block Testastretta 11 ° and a little more torque, slight alterations for certain parts (sides, headlight cowling …) and an even more pronounced plumb.
