Ducati delivers its sporty genes wherever it smells of powder, angle, or glide. For big supermotard fans who want even more, there is also the Hypermotard in the SP version. A name that we would rather stick on a sportswoman. This HM SP is directly derived from the HM 1100 Evo and therefore benefits from all the improvements of the latter: more powerful and lighter engine, new pistons, alternator and camshafts, a dashboard and Streetfighter controls, new side scoops , and 7 + 1 kg less (the Evo gains 7 kg compared to the HM 2009, the SP version weighs 1 kg less than the Evo) to go down to 171 kg on the scale.

The SP version is sport cut, much more sporty. The 50mm inverted fork provides 30mm of additional travel, and 30mm of more ground clearance. A fully adjustable Ohlins element completes the rear. A few carbon pieces pop up here and there. The handlebars are 20mm wider. Do you want more ? No problem. For excess efficiency, the wheels are Marchesini in forged alloy surrounded by top Brembo braking: the same monobloc radial calipers as the 1198 superbikes. Two judges are on the call: very soft rubber gommards with worn edges. will prove your attack, and on-board telemetry equipment, the DDA (Ducati Data Analyzer), to check your performance on a PC. There is really Ducati Superbike in this HM. Well, of course, the 1100 Hypermotard Special Performances is not to be approached like a damsel. The saddle height peaks at 875 mm and the price is close to that of a hypersport. And yet, it is surely the SP models that will be the most sold. The options available at Ducat ’will allow the level of preparation to be pushed even further, to the point of making a machine as beautiful to detail as it is to pilot.
