Going hand in hand with the evolution of the Multistrada, the Pikes Peak version confirms and affirms its presence within the range. For the eyes, the most notable change is the new decor; it goes from a “Ducati Corse” color to a dress more typical “MotoGP”.

It abounds from the handful of gas to the end of the suspensions; ride-by-wire, 8-stage DTC traction control, hands-free starting system, Bosch 9ME 3-stage ABS, Riding Mode system for 4 types of riding (Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro), and the new Skyhook Suspension (DSS). Now the Multistrada S are no longer equipped with Ohlins but with Sachs damping with semi-active suspensions. A battery of sensors informs the DSS system of the profile of the road – the latter responds by automatically adjusting the compression or rebound damping, in relation to the Riding Mode used. The latter now allows further fine-tuning of the settings. Each mode can be supplemented by a selection of “pilot only”, “pilot with luggage”, “pilot and passenger”, or “pilot and passenger with luggage”. In short, 16 types of configuration multiplied by 8 levels of traction control retained by 3 ABS laws equals a dedicated suspension engineer in your Multistrada.
2013 allows the MTS 1200 to win a new LED headlight, a warning, a very slightly redesigned front end and a major maintenance interval extended to 24,000 kms.
