Electric motorcycle Urbet Ego: 90 km-h, 120 km range, 2,700 euros

Urbet Ego electric motorcycle

Saucool and pretty cheap

With the Ego, the Spanish company Ubet has a really weird electric motorcycle on offer. It goes 120 kilometers and costs just under 2,700 euros.

D.he Ubet Ego looks like a wild mix of an undisguised Vespa and Captain Nemos Nautilus. The 12-inch wheels with 110/70 tires are in a swing arm with a central spring strut at the front and rear. The front swing arm also does the steering work. Disc brakes on both wheels are used to decelerate.

The fully encased Korups – rounded at the top, flat at the bottom – houses the 42 Ah battery. The 3 kW electric motor sits as a hub motor in the rear wheel. What looks like a porthole is a speaker shaft. Depending on the position of the throttle, the built-in woofer simulates a full motorcycle sound – of course, only to warn inattentive pedestrians.

120 kilometers range

The driver – and only he – finds his place on a single seat flanged to the main frame at a height of 745 mm. It is controlled by a wide tubular handlebar. The cockpit combines two classic round instruments. A third sits in the top of the body. The front headlights, taillights and indicators are also round.

The Ubet Ego has a length of 1,810 mm, a width of 670 mm and a height of 985 mm. Ubet specifies the maximum range of 120 kilometers, the maximum speed should be 90 km / h. The charging time for the battery is given as seven hours.

Conclusion

Ok, the workmanship and the overall concept seem simple, but the price that is called for the Ubet Ego is simply fantastic: the electric bike should cost only 2,727.27 euros.
