The Eleveit Strade leather jacket costs around 300 euros. They are available for women in (Italian) sizes 40 – 50, which corresponds to sizes 34 – 44 in Germany.

It has a crisp, figure-hugging cut, the leather feels – although brand new – supple and perfectly worn.

In the area of the upper arms, inconspicuous reflector strips are attached in daylight.

The adjustable tabs in the hip area are no mock-ups, but thanks to the crisp cut, they are mostly decorative.

The two outer pockets can be closed with zippers, which can also be used with gloved fingers.

The placeholder for the back protector is clearly visible – the tester doesn’t mind, but that remains a matter of taste.

Unfortunately, the jacket does not come with a certified back protector, but with simple foam. Please upgrade or wear a protector to strap on instead.

Proper and certified protectors are located on the shoulders and elbows.

The lining is pleasantly soft and the workmanship is good. Two inside pockets offer space for a mobile phone, wallet and glasses case.

Overlapping leather under the zipper in the arm area protects against cold wind.

The lining is pleasantly soft, the seams are neatly finished and the zipper pulls are big enough.

The leather jacket closes with a flap and a press stud at the collar. The width cannot be adjusted, but a scarf fits in between.

Overall, the Eleveit leather jacket for women is appealing because of the firm fit and the supple leather. But a decent back protector has to be worn underneath.

Eleveit Strade: motorcycle leather jacket for women in a practical test
Practical test Eleveit Strade leather jacket for women
Figure-hugging and with a removable vest
The motorcycle leather jacket for women from the Italian brand Eleveit comes in the form of a figure-hugging cut made of supple leather. The practical test shows whether she can convince on the motorcycle.

The Eleveit Strade for women is sewn from one millimeter thick cowhide, which feels so supple from the start, as if the jacket has already been worn in perfectly. Don’t be fooled by the size – the Italian women’s size 40, for example, corresponds to a German 34. And this leather jacket means that very seriously. Anyone who reaches significantly more than 86 centimeters around the waist is likely to fail with the zipper in size 40 (Italian size). The tabs for adjusting the lower waistband are just an ornament. The jacket has a figure-hugging cut in the chest, shoulder and arm areas, but doesn’t pinch anywhere, which is also due to the very soft lining. In addition to the zipper, a flap with a snap fastener closes on the collar and only allows one width. Zippers and press studs, which cannot be varied in width, also close on the cuffs.
Padded and removable vest
The leather jacket is completely black – except for a dark gray reflective stripe in the upper arm area. In the area of the back, a reflector surface would also have made sense for better visibility. On the other hand, the padded vest on the inside is sensible and pleasantly practicable. With a zipper and two buttons, it can be quickly inserted or removed and protects against the still chilly airstream on spring tours. The overlapping leather underneath the main zipper also ensures that the airflow is slowed down a little.
Both the vest and the lining have two inner pockets that are made tight with Velcro. The manufacturer speaks of “waterproof”, beyond a small shower, however, we wouldn’t want to strain that. But extensive rain tours are not much fun in leather clothing anyway. The two pockets on the outside of the front secure small and flat items with a zip. Small and flat because the jacket has a very figure-hugging cut and objects can be carried in the pockets.
Unfortunately no back protector included
Unfortunately, the Eleveit Strade does not have any ventilation slots, the focus here was probably on the puristic look of a classic black leather jacket. In return, the zippers are very easy to use even with gloves on – in the forearm area thanks to sufficiently large tabs, while the large zipper on the front has a leather strap.
In the shoulder and elbow area, the leather jacket is equipped with protectors of the test standard CE EN 1621-1. Unfortunately, the scope of delivery only offers a placeholder made of foam in the compartment for the back protector. Please replace it with a proper back protector (test standard CE EN 1621-2) – also for all other motorcycle jackets to which this applies. In the case of the Eleveit Strade, this has to be a relatively short and narrow protector, as the inside pocket on the back is not exactly large. It is of course even better if you have a back protector that is suitable for you to strap on, which you can wear under your jacket.
Motorcycle leather jacket for women and men
The motorcycle leather jacket costs around 299.99 euros and is available in sizes 40 to 50, which corresponds to German clothing sizes 34 to 44. The Eleveit Strade is also available for men, in sizes 46 to 60. For men, the conversion into German clothing sizes is even less uniform than for women, but you can safely assume a size smaller. So if you normally fit a German 46, you should try the jacket in at least size 48.
Conclusion
Unfortunately, the Eleveit Strade leather jacket does not come with a proper back protector, for which only a very small compartment is provided. We would have been happy about the beautifully inconspicuous reflector surfaces in the back area as well. That the leather jacket has no ventilation slots – sponge over it. Because it looks really chic, has a crisp cut and is very comfortable to wear thanks to the supple leather and soft lining. Great feature: the removable, lightly padded vest.
