Enduro conversion Moto Guzzi Levante 750

Moto Guzzi Levante 750 by Officine Rossopuro

Enduro conversion of the police motorcycle

Originally the Moto Guzzi converted by Officine Rossopuro was an NTX 350, which was used by the Italian police. The result, called the Levante 750, is said to stand out especially on go along trips.

With the V85 TT M.oto Guzzi recently presented a brand new Enduro, which has won over some fans due to its special look. To the customizers at Officine Rossopuro, the new bike didn’t seem classic enough and suitable for long journeys, so the Italians decided to put their own enduro on the bikes. The basis for this was not the brand new bike from Moto Guzzi, but an NTX 350, which was previously used by the Italian police. Compared to the original, the so-called Moto Guzzi Levante 750 from Officine Rossopuro looks much more subtle, tidy and elegant.

From 350 to 750 cm³

Many customizers primarily rely on a new look and adjustments to the chassis for their conversions. The engine, on the other hand, is rarely used – not so with the Moto Guzzi Levante 750. Officine Rossopuro has replaced the old 350cc carburettor engine with a V2 engine. According to the company, the 35 HP that the original engine produced was not enough, which is why a motor with almost 50 HP is now being used, which apparently comes from the NTX 750. The headlights have been replaced by components that look classic, yet are easy to remove. Instead of the 21-inch front wheel, a 19-inch aluminum rim including studded tires (Continental TKC80) was used. The front brakes were also upgraded in this context. The new braking system comes from Brembo. The suspension elements were also adapted by the customizers. For example, adjustable shock absorbers from Bitubo are new. The weight of the bike has been reduced to just under 150 kilograms.

Rossopuro Officine

The Moto Guzzi Levante 750 was an emergency vehicle for the Italian police in its previous life.

For the exhaust, the customizers opted for a two-in-one in-house production by MASS Moto, which was elegantly fitted into the red painted frame. The rest of the components are mostly made of silver. A matching logo with the lettering Levante 750 was placed on the tank. According to its own information, the Moto Guzzi Levante 750 was put on its wheels for longer trips or even world trips as well as for off-road trips. That’s why the customizers designed two tanks. The larger and smaller tanks can be exchanged for one another in just a few simple steps. In general, the Italians rely on stable and long-lasting components. Officine Rossopuro does not reveal how much the renovation cost.

Conclusion

The Moto Guzzi, converted by Officine Rossopuro, was put on its wheels for long trips and shorter off-road trips. It should be very solid and robust. The Levante 750 also looks good. It’s just a shame that the former NTX 350-based police motorcycle is probably a one-off.
