With the V-Rod 1st of the name, Harley fans took a full double uppercut. Milwaukee’s first power cruiser abandoned the traditional powertrain for a liquid-cooled engine with 4 valves per cylinder (and developed by Porsche, please). That was the emotional part. Then there was the big power contained in the twin which flanked the second slap. In 2009 the MUSCLE version landed to finish the job. A steroid version of the hot-rod VRSC, carved out of metal with bits of rage in the design. From the front as from the side, it’s the visual baton.
Squareer, more muscular, the “Meusseule” becomes the most aggressive of the V-Rod range (except the old Destroyer, dragster not usable on the road). Its 1250cc engine, 123 hp, 240mm rear tire “thump” and massive air intake vents invite Mad Max behavior without sweeteners. Bestial, long, bad girl, Muscle also plays the card of equipment, finish and winks. The frame eclipses as the inverted fork, twin exhausts, massive twin and 2-tone 5-spoke rims are highlighted. Some details are flattering, such as the electrical wiring hidden in the handlebars, the indicators inlaid in the branches of the mirrors, or the rear LED light remarkably well integrated in the shortened fender. Less visible and yet very useful, ABS and an anti-dribble clutch are fitted as standard. Low seat (640 mm WHERE MotoId = 5130; the V-Rod Muscle will not be a queen of courtesy, even with a saddle cut to wedge the posterior. With footrests fixed almost at the level of the column of direction, the pilot will derail under acceleration, the potato will pass in the back after having broken the arms. Since 2011, the Muscle is shod in Michelin Scorcher tires. If you hesitate between spirit and pace, perhaps be that Marisa Miller will help you see new attributes there (see photo gallery ->).
