The Fat Boy is arguably one of the best known and iconic models in the Harley-Davidson lineup. 20 years after his appearance, a twin brother appeared in 2010, the Fat Boy Special. This model is more like a Fat Boy whose skeleton is soaked in a tray of black paint, where only the exhausts have escaped drowning. In fact, it goes a step further for this big softail trying to join the Dark Customs family. In terms of finish and refinement details, we perceive that the Twin Cam shelters the black between its cooling fins but lets the chrome invade the rest of the mechanics. The ‘mini beach’ stainless steel handlebars are narrower but larger in diameter, accommodating the electric cables inside. The full rims machine-gunned on the perimeter are also covered in black, except on the edge.
