To live the Touring experience in a Harley-Davidson, you must already be a little initiated to the codes of the brand. It’s hard to imagine a first foray into the world of Milwaukee directly with a Road King or an Electra Limited. From now on, it is possible to venture on the long course on the handlebars of a Sportster, with all the advantages of a Superlow 883, the nervousness of the twin 1200, and an entry ticket much lower than the Swichback.. He wants a lot of things, this Superlow 1200 T; and it presents well to attract a little more than curiosity.
At a glance, the Sportster Superlow 1200 T is a motorcycle with a low-to-the-ground saddle, toned engine, windshield and pair of saddlebags. In essence, this machine has taken over most of the chassis and accessibility of the 883 Superlow, with its saddle height peaking at just 702mm (hence the name). However, the suspensions are new and the footrests are advanced by 7 cm. The heart has taken off, and it turns out to be rather necessary. The 883 cm3 is a bit tight for going on long roads. With 15 horsepower and 26 Nm more, the 1200 block will offer much more response. What fun and enjoy an always voluntary availability, accepting that this engine will not be able to lift your back as only the hairy fat of a big Twin Cam can do. In return, the Superlow T weighs 53.5 kg less than the lightest model in the Touring range..
Ambience or Tourer’s ability on board?!? The Superlow 1200 T features a removable 356mm windshield and a set of lockable cases. Their anchor points allow easy installation of a luggage rack and a backrest (optional). The dashboard is visually reduced to its simplest form, a tachometer and a small battery of indicator lights. Take a closer look: the LCD window can show you the gear engaged, the trip or a digital tachometer, with handlebar control.
The Superlow 1200 T also benefits from recent enhancements to the Sportster range. The 300mm front brake disc bitten by 34mm pistons, ABS as standard, just like the keyless start device.
They continued in 2016, with new suspensions. The fork accommodates from a new cartridge and a 3-setting damping. The rear emulsion shocks can be adjusted for preload. The redesigned saddle should improve the daily life of the posterior.
Offered at half the price of a 1745 Road King Classic, this 1200 Touring is the perfect machine to take your Sportster desire to the roadway adventure..
