Euro 5 update and new colors
For the 2021 model year, the A2-compatible Honda CB 500 X is getting three new colors and an optical touch of Africa Twin. It is also homologated according to Euro 5.
The revving two-cylinder Honda VS.With the facelift for the 2021 model year, the B 500 X will be made fit for Euro 5. Anti-hopping clutch, early pressure, a wide speed range and good manners will be retained. Nothing will change in the A2-compatible 48 HP for the A2 driving license class. They are still ready at 8,600 rpm, the maximum torque of 43 Newton meters is available at 6,500 rpm.
New colors Honda CB 500 X 2021
The Honda CB 500 X is inspired by the Africa Twin for a new coat of paint in the 2021 model year. Three new color and graphic variants each roll out with a striking red rear subframe: Grand Prix Red, Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic, Pearl Metalloid White. The CB 500 X did not undergo any further visual changes during this facelift, as it did not get a comprehensive visual and technical update until 2019. 19-inch front wheel, 150 millimeters at the front, 135 millimeters at the rear and ergonomics that are very similar to that of a travel enduro is similar, have proven themselves and do not need to be changed at first.
Gear indicator and adjustable shift indicator
An LC display in the cockpit, which recently also shows the gear position and a gearshift indicator, provides information. The latter is set to 8,750 / min as standard, but can be adjusted in steps of 250 / min between 5,000 and 8,750 / min. The tubular display holder simplifies the installation of a navigation device above the instruments.
Like its 500 cc sisters, the Honda CB 500 X is homologated for the Euro 5 standard in model year 2021. The emissions standard came into force on January 1, 2020 and stipulates strict emissions values for engines than Euro 4. The requirements include a reduction in carbon monoxide emissions, lowering total emissions of hydrocarbons by more than 40 percent, more stringent detection of misfires and the introduction of a limit value for particulate matter.
