Honda CB 650 R model year 2021

With a new fork and Euro 5

Honda has made the CB 650 R fit for Euro 5 for the 2021 model year. In addition, the mid-range naked bike has a new fork and additional features.

D.he most important change to the Honda CB 650 R is always in front of the driver: The new 41 mm Big Piston Showa upside-down fork. A pressure isolating damper in one of the fork tubes and a spring mechanism in the other ensure high damping performance and lower weight. Together with the use of a larger piston, this results in better shock absorption properties and more control. An enlarged steering angle (lead 25.5 degrees, lag 101 mm) should have a positive effect on handling, while a handlebar set a little further forward optimizes the seating position.

The 649 cm³ four-cylinder could be lifted over the Euro 5 hurdle without any loss of performance. The engine management, the camshafts including timing, the catalytic converter and the exhaust have been revised. So it remains at 95 hp and 63 Nm. The A2 variant with 48 hp is also available.

USB socket and new side cover

Visually, the Honda CB 650 R remains true to its Neo Sports Cafe style. For 2021, however, new, smaller side panels and a new license plate holder, now made of metal, will be attached to the bike. The USB charging socket for mobile devices located under the seat is also new. On the LED display in the cockpit, legibility was optimized for 2021 by adjusting the LED angle and the font size.

The 2021 Honda CB 650 R is available in the well-known colors Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic, Candy Chromosphere Red and Mat Jeans Blue Metallic. The Pearl Smoky Gray version is new. Honda has not yet announced prices.
