Honda CBR 500 R model year 2021
A2 athletes homologated to Euro 5
The model update of the Honda CBR 500 R is exclusively dedicated to the Euro 5 homologation. It does not get new colors like the CB 500 F and CB 500 X.
E.ine A2 compatible "Pocket rocket" Honda calls its CBR 500 R. But despite its 48 hp peak performance, it means business and rolls on with clip-ons. The driver ducks behind the windshield and fairing in a sporty way. The 48 hp at 8,600 rpm and 43 Nm torque at 6,500 turns match the performance data of the sisters CB 500 F and CB 500 X, but feel different. Except in ergonomics, it differs only marginally from its 500 cousin. It also rolls on with a colorful LC display, which is equipped with a gear indicator and a gearshift indicator, among other things. The latter is set to 8,750 / min as standard, but can be individually adjusted between 5,000 and 8,750 / min in steps of 250.
No visual changes
Honda speaks of one for the CBR 500 R for model year 2021 "aerodynamically focused make-over" and "improved aerodynamics", does not, however, go into detail on measures or changes. At first and second glance, we do not see any visual change in the CBR 500 R compared to the 2020 model.
