Updates for the touring flagship

Honda is giving the Gold Wing some updates in the 2020 model year, for example standard fog lights and slight revisions to the engine.

In 2018 Honda presented a new edition of the legendary Gold Wing. Now, two years later, the traditional Japanese manufacturer is giving the tourer flagship some updates. Among other things, the engine of the 2020 model variant has been modified. Adjustments have been made to the injection system and to the dual clutch transmission (DCT), which, by the way, is now also available in the standard version. The changes are intended to improve the maneuverability of the Gold Wing, especially at walking pace.

Fog lights now standard

Otherwise, the Honda Gold Wing will be launched in the 2020 model year with a little more equipment. Fog lights are now standard on board with the somewhat sharper “Tour” variant. Tea navigation system also receives some updates and can now save up to 99 waypoints when planning a route. In addition, two USB interfaces will be included in both versions in the future. Apart from that, the setup of the chassis was optimized during the tour, which should have a positive effect on comfort on longer trips. In addition, the Tower will benefit from larger handles for the pillion passenger in the coming model year.

The Honda Gold Wing will be available in two new colors in the 2020 model year. New are the "Matte Ballistic Black Metallic" (basic model with DCT) and "Pearl Glare White" (tour model with DCT and airbag). Alternatively, other color variants are still offered. Honda has not yet commented on the prices for 2020.
