With its RC30 decoration and its riders from the Tourist Trophy, the Honda TT Legends team got a lot of attention in 2011. For its first approach to endurance, the team concluded a good season, without more, finishing 7th in the championship of world. Honda Europe is putting a lot of resources into this team, and intends to see its potential to be more at the forefront in 2012.
There is change for the new season. The machine holds a prominent place there. The CBR 1000 RR evolves for its 20 years, that of the team too. The endurance CBR will benefit from the ABS but will do without the suspension progress of the new Fireblade. It prefers, like the majority of Superbike category machines, to equip itself at Ohlins, in this case with a TTX36 shock absorber at the rear. Fork side for 2012, the CBR benefits from the new FGR 200. Stiffer, lighter than the previous FGR 100, it also allows more adjustments. Brembo brake calipers have given way to a game of Nissin. The exhaust remains supplied by Akrapovic.
New configuration for the pilots as well. John McGuinness and Cameron Donald retain their positions while two new recruits join the structure, Gary Johnson and Simon Andrews. In addition to the five World Endurance events, the TT Legends will also take part in the barjots competitions where the Honda team riders shine: the North West 200, the Ulster GP, and the essential Tourist Trophy of the island. by Man.
