Honda will not import its new CBR600RR into France … Rrrrr !
Fans of mid-capacity sports motorcycles see red in France … figuratively speaking. Because the CBR600RR 2021 will not be sold in Europe! Honda plans to produce a thousand for its national market… Pity ?
How enticing, this CBR600RR 2021 with its MotoGP fins and its new small head, its reworked engine and its redone electronics, its cycle part unchanged because almost perfect … This mini Fireblade was ideal for riders who do not can’t afford the CBR1000RR-R or don’t want to compete with its 218 horsepower.
Unfortunately, Honda’s new sports car will remain "confined" to her home in Japan: the Supersport segment in Europe is too dying to encourage the Tokyo Reds to export their motorcycle. It must be recognized that the CBR650R already seems to satisfy French customers…

At Site, however, we find this new version "double R" interesting: its 4-cylinder 599 cc with revised mechanics promised to be nice to whip on the circuit thanks to its 121 horses perched at 14,000 rpm and its 64 newtons. -meters placed 2,500 turns lower.
Compared to the last version marketed in France (Euro3), the 600 would have gained only one horse and lost 2 Nm, of course. But MNC believes it would have been more exhilarating on the track than the 649cc 4-legged CBR650R which develops 95 hp and 63.5 Nm … and less vibrant on the road !
Now decked out with an electronic accelerator and an inertial unit, the new CBR600RR offers essential (?) Driving modes. It must above all reassure beginner riders by managing any slippage of the rear wheel and lifting of the front wheel on its own….
At the same time, its new, thinner ABS and all-LED lighting – thinner, too! – allow him to glean four kilograms on the manufacturer’s scale (ie 192 kg all full). Its new color instrumentation promises to fill the eyes … Japanese customers.
Doubly lucky, Japanese bikers also have the right to a racing version: simplified wiring harness, large brake discs, specific suspensions, exhaust and radiator "recingue", configurable electronic injection are notably part of the equipment..
Deprived of CBR600RR – road or track -, French bikers will therefore have to fall back on the little brother CBR650R … or on the cousins of Akashi and Iwata? The ZX-6R and YZF-R6 are indeed still cataloged at Kawasaki and Yamaha !
