This unexpected model on the market combines the unmistakable Italian style, history and racing experience of Husqvarna with the technological innovations and know-how of the BMW Group.

A taste of things to come
At the crossroads between roadsters and supermotards, this machine does not fit into any real category that already exists. The model shows a real design associated with a dynamic and lively side where agility is essential, thanks to a set with a minimalist appearance but moreover perfectly balanced, all delivering instantaneous flows of sensations..

A design, a line, a symptomatic line, let yourself be contaminated
At the factory, located northwest of Milan, the Husqvarna design team drew inspiration from the depths of the brand’s heritage and its TT culture. The design of the Nuda although minimalist in appearance, is tapered and extended from front to back, with a long, elusive line. The exposed trellis frame, the prominent exhaust in the upper position and the high performance red cylinder head behind this partially stripped casing are the foundations of the Nuda..
Sporty, curious, surprising, the new version proposed by Husqvarna highlights the daring Italian style of a reborn brand.
The Nuda 900R has the distinction of proudly wearing the brand’s colors, in this case red and white, the colors of competition at Husqvarna. Colors made famous by successes and victories.
A super-vitamin twin
Husqvarna knows that the heart of a motorcycle is its engine … that’s why the Italian firm has made the engine the fundamental element of the Nuda project. husky has taken the highly reliable and technologically advanced twin-cylinder Behème from the F 800 as its engine base to power the Nuda. The displacement was increased from 798 cm3 to 898 cm3 with an increase of 2 mm of the bore, thus passing to 84 mm and a stroke increased by 5.4 mm to reach 81 mm. Likewise, the compression ratio has also been revised and increased to 13: 0. Other important modifications were made to the German block such as: the use of a new high compression triple layer cylinder head gasket, re-calibrated camshafts, pistons and connecting rods modified to accommodate an all new crankshaft. Finally, in order to give the Nuda a unique character specific to Husqvarna and thus finish distinguishing itself from its German cousin, the crankshaft timing has been moved to 315 degrees..
The result is an engine with vigorously energized and playful handling, unlike its “donor”, and it also gives the Husqvarna a new lightweight and sporty block. It is not only the sensations that evolve but above all the performance in terms of torque and power. Thanks to its new design and new 33mm intake valves and 28.5mm exhaust valves, Husqvarna engine engineers have brought the power of the twin to 105 horsepower with a torque of 100 Nm (9, 78 mkg), all this while managing to retain the torquey and fluid nature when delivering power at low and mid-range.
For the occasion, the compensation balance on the crankshaft has also been redesigned in order to eradicate the delicate vibrations of the engine while maintaining the lubrication system (dry sump) and the 30 degrees of inclination. The Nuda offers the significant particularity of being very fuel-efficient compared to its German cousin. The engine benefits from an optimized original BMW-KP intake manifold combined with two 46mm butterfly valves.

With its solid racing experience, Husqvarna benefits from strong chassis expertise. They found this basis in the steel trellis frame of the BMW F 800 GS. Husqvarna reworked this by reducing its length by 50mm, then reinforcing it with an 80mm section at the steering column. The behavior and liveliness of the bike comes from a reduced steering column angle compared to the German trail. Agile at low speed, slim and easy to carry, the Nuda is therefore perfectly suited to be used in an unbridled and unrestrained manner in an urban environment..
To further enhance the sensations and further assert the sporty side of the Nuda, Husqvarna has equipped the chassis of the 900 R version with high-end components such as a fully adjustable Sachs 48 mm diameter fork and a fully adjustable Ohlins shock absorber. The increased ground clearance has a direct effect on the handling of the motorcycle and provides responsiveness and precision.
While the Nuda benefits from a two-seater double-level saddle for better enjoyment in duo riding, the 900 R is adorned with a single saddle 15 mm higher (890mm against 875), thus offering a more engaging sportsmanship to its pilot.
The development office in charge of the Nuda project has made ergonomics and maneuverability the only two priorities to be emphasized. To promote these two criteria, the Italian engineers had to make technical choices such as integrating the tank under the saddle in order to lower the center of gravity and distribute the masses as close as possible to the center of gravity.
