Multiple tumors found
The 12-time Isle of Man TT winner Bruce Anstey is unlikely to contest any races in 2018. Cancer is back.

Road racing star is seriously ill. The 48-year-old New Zealander was diagnosed with cancer for the second time in his life. He had already successfully defeated testicular cancer in the 1990s. Now the monster is back. Several tumors on the lungs and one tumor on the spine were found at Anstey, as his wife Annie writes. A blood clot was also found on the lungs of the 12-time Isle of Man TT winner.
No more races this year
He is currently waiting for a treatment plan, as his wife continues. “It should then start relatively quickly”, she continues to write.
Borner
Bruce Anstey will probably not perform such maneuvers this year.
“Right now, I very much doubt that Bruce will be racing in any race this year”, so Ms. Anstey continues. “But you can never really rule it out either – lol”, she takes it with humor. After his first cancer in 1994, Anstey only started professional racing two years later. He has been driving the Isle of Man TT since 1996 and has set several records there. In addition to his twelve victories, he has conquered 17 second places and eight third places.
